We're going back to basics this fall! Our line-up of knit and crochet classes and workshops is open for registrations, and we're looking forward to helping you find your creative niche. Click on the class of your choice for further details.
All classes are in-person at Riverside Yarns. We will wear masks and we encourage you to do so. Please do not come to class if you feel unwell in any way (cough, fever, cold symptoms, sore throat). You will receive a class credit. Thank you for your understanding.

Knit 1: Getting Started

Knit 2: Knitting in the Round & More

You'll learn to knit in the round using a circular needle. You'll be introduced to double-pointed needles, learn to decrease and increase, pick up dropped stitches and tink back. You'll also be introduced to swatching and gauge.

These three-hour sessions are designed to provide help to knitters who have started a project but would like some guidance from an expert knitter.

Fix Your Mistakes!

In this class, you'll learn to pick up dropped stitches (knit and purl), recognize and correct twisted stitches, tink back, insert a lifeline to unravel, and correct extra stitches.

Socks on Two Circulars

Note: there are three classes per session
In this class you'll learn to knit socks using two circular needles. This is the only method that will be taught during this class.
Pre-requisite skills: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, decreasing, using a stitch marker, counting stitches
